Student and Teacher Session Outcomes:

Teachers will holistically prepare students for their self-created or district-made summative assessment while also engaging students in engaging culminating projects. Students will feel confident in their progress towards the summative assessment while also finding personal value in their math class.

This is a virtual experience. You will need to use the WebEx platform on your computer, coupled with a working webcam and microphone, to fully engage with this experience. If you have any technical difficulties you should reach out to your facilitators (Dylan and Nicole) ASAP. Please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes before the session begins to account for any technical difficulty.

Session Pre-Work Assignment:

  • Select 1-2 pieces of student work that you believe signifies the progress that your students have made this year. Upload that to this folder with the title LastName.FirstName.Grade (e.g. “Smith.Ethan.7th.docx)
  • Review the Teaching As Leadership Rubric and, using your student work sample and quantitative data as a basis, determine where you believe your classroom most accurately falls with Culture of Achievement and Engagement with Rigorous Content. Come prepared to discuss this with your peers.
